All successful mushroom growing systems require the most precise environmental conditions to maximize yields. The OEM-Teso Climate Control System from OEM Technology Solutions is specifically designed to create the most conducive climate for successful mushroom growing. A comprehensive range of programmable controllers and operator interfaces are combined with the most sophisticated control algorithms to make a system that is both easy to use and that guarantees precise environmental conditions. The use of Ethernet as the primary communications network provides the connectivity infrastructure to other business systems as required. |

During the spawn-growing period of mushrooms, heat is generated and supplemental cooling is required. The OEM-Teso climate control system maintains the substrate temperatures are at 23-25ºC and relative humidity is kept high to minimize drying of the substrate surface. A complete spawn run usually requires14 to 21 days. Managing the crop after casing requires that the compost temperatures until flushing be held at spawn growing temperatures. After flushing, compost temperatures are lowered by the OEM-Teso Climate Control System and air temperature becomes the primary control point. The OEM-Teso climate control system regulates the amount of fresh air entering the room and the temperatures within the room. Ventilation requirements depend on the amount of mushrooms to be grown on the beds, heat, and CO2 production, which increases with temperature. Uniform air movement and circulation is important to prevent stale air with high CO2 levels from building up around the mushrooms, which lowers fresh quality. The OEM-Teso Climate Control System ensures air temperature is maintained in a range of 15-17ºC and CO2 levels range from 1,000 to 2,500 ppm (1-2.5 percent) during the pinning and cropping stages.
