December 2009: OEM Technology Solutions held two successful client events recently in Sydney and Brisbane. The events included a show casing of OEM’s diverse product range and capabilities in the embedded technology space as well as launching their latest product range of tough, smart and very, very flexible programmable controllers, the PC1600 Series.
In addition, OEM was proud to have Orica presenting their case study on how Orica benefitted using OEM controllers and software to create a sophisticated and state of the art explosives delivery and management system that has been implemented on more than 60 Mobile Manufacturing Units around the world. Ola Lindahl from Orica Mining Services who delivered the case study and has been instrumental in bringing the system to fruition said: “OEM's people and professionalism has made the difference between success and failure for this business initiative.”
The event was attended by many leading electrical engineering companies including Sigma Coachair, Heydey Sigtec and Thales Australia.
Barry from Sigma Coachair said: “As for the event I found it was a relaxed environment which allowed some good one on one discussions with OEM staff, especially about challenges we have and possible solutions. It was also good to see more of OEM’s product range and the applications they are used in as all too often we are blinkered by the standard applications we know them for and not what they have the potential to do. Must admit I found the presentation from the gentleman from Orica very interesting, amazing the technology and expense in his line of work.”
In 2010 OEM will be hosting another event with dates and event style to be confirmed later in the year. |
